Sam is snatched by Harvey’s heavy, as scheming Sharon crosses a line

It was all milkshakes and stargazing when young Sam first arrived in Weatherfield, but a few months down the line and the poor boy must feel like he’s living in some drug-strewn ghetto, as seen on one of those gritty Ross Kemp documentaries.

He was recently scared witless by the antics of stepbrother Simon and dodgy pal Jacob, and this week he’s outside granny Gail’s house when he’s bundled into a van and kidnapped!

Rita’s former foster daughter, Sharon, is responsible. She’s trying to track down ‘grass’ Leanne on behalf of her incarcerated drug-dealer nephew, Harvey, and, having had no luck thus far, she decides she must think way outside of the box.

Initially, her focus is on Dev. His son Aadi has a games console, and she has an idea to use the device to connect with Simon.

‘Sharon persuades Dev that they should have a few drinks at his place,’ explains our Corrie mole.
