As a child, I loved Christmas. I’ve spent it in many places all over the world, and no matter what is going on, it’s a constant source of excitement and surprise. The 25th of December; it never changes, it’s always there.

Growing up, my mother would always decorate the house, I’d help her make the decorations for our Christmas tree and she taught us to make our own Christmas cards. My father worked very hard, he often worked double-shifts, so for us it wasn’t about how many presents you got, it was really a day of being together and that was always really special. I was really lucky in that sense. I always loved the energy around Christmas; it’s the unexpected, the unknown and the sense that something fantastic will happen. Being so excited you can’t sleep. There are few occasions in the year that generate the same energy.
