The essential sowing kit
Kitchen Garden|April 2020
Here is your basic must-have equipment for sowing in containers first
The essential sowing kit

1: POTS AND TRAYS

These are essential and if you have a lot of plastic pots, reuse them. Better to reuse them than to throw them out. You can get coir, make newspaper pots or reuse old yoghurt pots or toilet roll tubes.

2: WIDGER AND DIBBER

The dibber is ideal for making holes for larger seeds or for making a hole in the compost to drop a seedling in. The widger, with a fork end and a flat end, is ideal for lifting seedlings to transplant into bigger pots.

3: COMPOST
