But this kind of events are not new to us, almost every year we are bogged down with some epidemic or a disaster or the other that throws us out of gear and we are caught unprepared.

Over the last several years of constant appeal to establish a Disaster and Calamities Management and an Epidemic Cell, there is now a semblance of an Epidemic Cell in the CCRH which is, in itself a great progressive step. The recent response to the looming CoviD menace by issuing an Advisory and a prophylactic remedy has definitely curbed the potential confusion. No matter what the so called self-proclaimed ‘health watch critics’ may say, this quick response by the CCRH and their recommendation to the Ministry of AYUSH must be lauded and appreciated. However, that is only a small part of the battle won.

As is being witnessed all over the nation, the spate of Corona virus scare has affected the price of basic protection face masks and the hand sanitizers, which have skyrocketed within a matter of a week and are almost out of stock in the market. While there are rumors of desperate hoarding both by the users and sellers, a pall of anxiety is descending and fervent search for alternatives are already in motion. So, if this is the state of affairs regarding the hand sanitizers and face masks, what then, is the condition of Homoeopathic ‘preventive’ medicine that has been advised by the Ministry?
