TAMING A RUSSIAN RINGMASTER’S WILD LOVE AFFAIR FOR GOLD AND VERSACE
Midas Touch

More is more. That is just how Gia Eradze loves it. An eccentric personality, the Director of the Royal Circus of Russia, Giya Eradze, commissioned Moscow-based interior designer and architect Tatyana Myronova’s to infuse her American Neoclassical style into his apartment.

Since Eradze’s love for gold and the Italian luxury fashion brand Versace is unbound, Myronova came up with a design concept which layers the gilded element over “an exquisite combination of gold tones, textures, shapes, and fabrics”. To personalise a space that resonates its occupant’s lifestyle, she included three key things in her “ultimate love triangle” design: gold, animals, and Versace.

“Our people, especially those who grew up in the Soviet Union in the same soulless interiors, should be able to express themselves, show their individuality. And we, as professionals, have to hear, understand and make a customer such an interior in which he will be driving, incredibly comfortable and cool,” says Myronova.
