THE CLIENT
A couple with twin daughters, the young family is outgoing and thoroughly enjoy good company. They have a strong affinity for social gatherings and house parties, and have stressed the desire for a beautiful and cosy living space that caters to that purpose. They also wanted personalised bedrooms for each of their twin daughters so they can have their own distinct and personal spaces growing up. And as the couple were moving from a bungalow to the 3,000 sq ft apartment, a more intimate and cosy lifestyle was also high priority for their new space.
ENTERING URBION @ NUSA RHU THE FOYER
Beyond double black doors with opulent brass handles, the foyer opens up with a table, like a reception desk. An Ebano wood panel with a prominent art piece serves as partition, a cover before the reveal. Curved glass flanks both sides of it, beckoning you into the living area.
THE LIVING AREA
One will surely be struck by the sheer expansiveness of the living area which is clad in a striking black and white colour scheme. A tan L-shaped sofa dominates the space, complemented by a simple wooden coffee table. An elaborate rug underneath helps to maintain an interesting contrast. This sense of expansiveness is further bolstered by the illumination of lights hidden in the borders of the recessed ceiling and the bright white floor tiles.
