Estranged couple Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux recently had an explosive showdown as they came face-to-face for the first time in Los Angeles last weekend, as New Idea can exclusively reveal.

Even though Jen and Justin said when they announced their split that they are still friends and love each other, insiders say the break-up was ugly and their divorce is set to be one of the worst Hollywood has ever seen!

Despite putting on a friendly front after nearly bumping into each other at Jimmy Kimmel’s son’s birthday party, behind closed doors the pair are at each other’s throats!

The whole debacle is making things very awkward for their close friends, as they have had to choose sides.

Selena Gomez recently defriended Justin on social media and Jen was furious that Justin has hung out twice with her pal Emma Stone. It’s getting very awkward in their mateship circle, as they had a lot of joint friends.

An insider told New Idea that the duo met before the bash as Justin collected the rest of his possessions from their Bel Air mansion, but the encounter turned ugly with Jen ending up inconsolable.

‘Justin flew into LA to see Jen face-to-face and clear the rest of his belongings, and the meeting ended up in an explosive showdown,’ a source told New Idea.
