FOOD HALLS
Miami has perfected the food hall concept and there are about a dozen to choose from. Take The Citadel in the burgeoning Little River District. This multi-level complex boasts about 15 dining options from the likes of Haitian chef Jouvens Jean and gourmet chocolates from world-renowned pastry chef, Antonio Bachour. It also offers live music, DJ rooftop parties and retail and museum design popups that support local talent.
The Time Out Market takes the food hall concept to Miami Beach with 18,000 square feet of culinary goodness. The 18 mouthwatering eateries include Florida’s culinary master chef Norman Van Aken’s first foray into a food market with K’West (SOFLA fare) and Beach Pie (pizza), “Top Chef ” Season 13 winner Jeremy Ford’s interpretation of Korean flavors and Michael Beltran’s all-woodburning concept Leña.
