NOT-VERY-GREEN AVOCADOS
The avocado is a good place to start, as its huge increase in popularity has led to lots of changes in countries where the strange green fruit is grown. Some of these come from the Petorca region of Chile, where many villagers have complained of their water supply drying up. Avocado trees need lots of water, so farmers there have been illegally diverting the water supply, leaving local people without clean water to cook and wash with.
