Slough Slammed For Singing In The Rain!

A TORRENTIAL rain-storm after 70 min-utes put paid to this encounter between two sides laying in second and third spots before kick-off.

Havant & Waterlooville had just gone two up with a brace from Jonah Ayunga when referee Aji Ajibola brought a swift end to proceedings.

Explaining his decision Mr. Ajibola said: “The timing of the abandonment was most unfortunate as the home side had just scored their second but I was starting to lose my footing and I brought it to an early end as I felt players were unable to keep theirs.”

Slough’s joint boss Jon Underwood agreed with the referee’s decision.

“I thought it was right to start the game as the pitch had plenty of grass and looked really good,” said Underwood.

“As the game went on the rain continued and the conditions got worse, so the game was more about luck than skill.
