REES HITS FAB FOUR AS TOWN ROMP IT

In a frantic few minutes prolific striker Rees gave Merthyr the lead with 19 minutes on the clock, rounding the onrushing keeper before slotting home.

It looked like Lewys Twamley was going to double their lead soon after when he danced into the area, but his effort was denied by a strong save from Ben Dudzinski.

They were made to pay for the missed opportunity as the visitors broke, finding Reuben Swann free at the back post to pull Havant and Waterlooville level in the 21st minute.
