Shivam Dube’s exploits in the Ranji Trophy and India-A matches last year came at a time when Hardik Pandya and Vijay Shankar were nursing injuries. The burly cricketer was soon catapulted into the India squad.
The Mumbai allrounder, who has played 13 T20Is and one ODI, has had a topsyturvy ride so far. The six-hitting sensation opens up in a chat with The Hindu on being considered as Hardik’s replacement and that fateful over when he conceded 34 runs in the final T20I against New Zealand in Mount Maunganui in February.
