Tamron 70-300 mm F/4.5-6.3 Sony Mount
Tamron has been extending its portfolio for the E-mount lenses gradually and it now features the wide zoom 28-200mm, the 70-180mm and the recent addition - 70-300mm. With so many overlapping lenses now from Tamron, it is possible that you might be wondering which is the best lens you ought to get? Like most of the lenses for the E-mount this lens effectively goes against the Sony 70-300mm. Like the other category of lenses, Tamron 70-300 mm (at ₹ 47,900) is at nearly half the price of the Sony lens (approx. more than ₹ 1 Lac). Similar to the other Sony lenses, you will get image stabilization in Tamron lenses too. So, the Tamron is effectively a much lighter, more affordable and compact lens for this focal range. Priced at ₹ 2.5 Lacs (body only), the Z7 ii effectively goes against the popular offerings like the Canon EOS R5 and the Sony A7R IV. It is considerably cheaper as compared to both these cameras and with the reduction in the price point, certain things are amiss in the Z7ii.
