Reflection photography also called as mirror photography, is the use of reflective surface to capture artistic images. This type of photography changes the perspective to offer some stunning and confusing photographs. Reflective surfaces are often anything from glass buildings to rivers, or a window or maybe a puddle after a rain. There are less reflective surfaces also like mirror, metal, glass or any shiny surface. Let’s examine how one can capture some beautiful images with reflection.
Scout out The Right Location
While water is the most commonly used reflective surface, leave that and look for other reflective surfaces also. After a good rain, one can find reflection on the streets and if used wisely, can give some great reflective images. You can also make use of vehicle mirrors or glass windows in shops or salon etc. Selecting the proper location is important for ideal photograph.
Selecting a subject
This is extremely important. Once you have decided the spot or frame which could look beautiful using reflection, choose your subject wisely. Your subject must be interesting and framed properly too. In order that the viewer, even with the confusion, might be able to focus on the subject itself. Subjects are often anything living or non-living; it depends on your photo mood.
