Professional monitors may not have the appeal of gaming and entertainment panels in the market, but surely, they are there, hidden amongst the torrential assault of these mass market products, and picking one of them is not a mean feat. Asus ProArt series includes devices and peripherals specially designed for photo, design and video professionals who are understandably finicky about colour accuracy and consistency. The ProArt PA279CV is a 27-inch professional monitor.

Design & Build Quality

The ProArt PA279CV has a no-nonsense, practical design similar to most professional monitors. The panel has a single-sided bezel and the screen has a non-reflective finish. Overall, the monitor appeared well made with sturdy frame and strong stand with a broad and flat base. The monitor features five physical shortcut buttons along with the power button. The buttons appeared sturdy, except that the power button on our review device had the tendency to get stuck at times. In addition to the button in the front, there is a power switch alongside the I/O panel. The monitor offers a simple VESA mount for easy screw-free wall mounting. The monitor measures 614 x 369.9 x 59.9 mm with stand and weighs 8.6 kg with the stand.
