Wonder how six ladies from different cities and countries can come together to share life and God’s Word? Thanks to technology, the light group (LG) that I facilitate— with Jen, Pin, Princess, LJ, and Vim—has been able to do that via video call every Thursday, 12 p.m., Manila time.
We met in June 2019 at Love Life Retreat (LLR) Batch 3, the singles retreat of The Feast PICC AM Session, except for Princess, who joined us a few weeks later. Three are based abroad, two flew to the Philippines just for the weekend retreat.
Despite the distance and time difference, everyone was willing to adjust so we can all meet— with Jesus in our midst. Here are their stories.
Jen from Pasig
“Corny and I don’t need it,” Ruby Jean “Jen” Musni, a system administrator in Pasig City, would say every time she’d see the LLR announcement at The Feast.
Jen has been attending The Feast since 2010 with her best friend Cha Dineros. Before Cha went abroad, they both attended Jewels Conference 2019, which inspired Jen to give LLR a try. Through that retreat, she realized that she needed to know herself and God more. It helped her to welcome new people in her life.
