The Actor's Proud Wife Speaks About Their Love For The First Time At The AFI Awards.

He’s one of Hollywood’s biggest stars and when the American Film Institute (AFI) decided to honour George Clooney with its prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award, the tributes came thick and fast from other famous folk.

The likes of Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, Bill Murray and Cate Blanchett not only spoke glowingly about George’s talent as an actor, director, writer and producer, but highlighted his humanitarian work and political activism.

There was even a recorded message from former US president Barack Obama. After noting they’re the same age, Barack pointed out that George (57) “does the whole grey hair thing better than me, and he’s maybe a little more debonair than me”.

He went on to say, “I can nevertheless not deny what we all know – that he is a good man, a good friend, a good citizen, an outstanding maker of films.”

Bill Murray described the Ocean’s 11 star as “the most decent person I’ve ever worked with in the movie business”, while his former ER co-star Julianna Margulies talked about how she owed him her career, thanks to the advice and encouragement he gave her.
