Few photos show Judy Finnigan looking quite so happy as when she posed alongside her pregnant daughter Chloe, 34, proudly holding a picture of the baby scan on social media. Richard and Judy’s only daughter is expecting her first child with her husband, the ex England rugby player James Haskell, and Judy, who is already a grandmother- of three, is thrilled.
But it seems the much-anticipated arrival of another grandchild underscores the reality that Richard and Judy are currently at a crossroads in their relationship.
Enjoying his late-in-life career renaissance as the co-presenter on GMB, Richard loves the buzz of live TV and is happiest in a studio in front of the cameras. On the other hand, for Judy, it looks like it’s all over and we won’t be seeing the duo on TV together any time soon. She has no interest in being on-air and prefers to spend her free time with her nose in a book and being with her family.
