My go-to remedy

Ginger, lime and honey – it’s miraculous for coughs and colds. I juice 200g ginger and mix with the juice of six limes, 3tsp honey and 3tsp brown sugar, and take ¼ cup of this liquid with ¼ cup warm water. It tastes delicious and knocks a cold on its head.

My favourite meal

I love roasting a chicken with lots of herbs from the garden, with roast potatoes and plenty of greens. Ayurveda places importance on sitting down nicely to enjoy a meal with loved ones, and this kind of meal not only reminds me of happy dinners with my family as a child, but it’s also a meal I now make to enjoy with my husband and daughter. It has to be followed by apple and blackberry crumble, of course!
