SPANDAN

As in any building natural light, ventilation is major key factor. The concept was very simple, the space was to be design utilizing natural light and ventilation.

In planning stage, for the living room, we designed big corner windows that will allow maximum amount of north light to enter in the room and connects with the outdoor landscaping as well. Window seating adds the special cosy comfort for family.

For pooja room big window purposefully placed with acrylic jali. Jali helps to divide the space physically but provided a virtual connection. For dining area full-height glass doors provided as well as skylight is provided to ensure that light can pass all the day as well as in night. The courtyard outside dinning divides indoor and outdoor but even if the dinning was divided one can easily enter the space and enjoy it as one unit. We implement the same window seating for rooms.

Use of new technology MRL lift is provided near dinning for senior citizen in the house. Bedrooms were specially designed considering the client's brief and user.

The furniture was always meant to be in wood and simple yet modern. The good thing about the whole design process was we tried using modern as well as elegant furniture.
