He stood 4th in Maharashtra. He later finished his B.F.A. (PTG) from the University of Pune - College of Fine Art, Pune (2008). He finished 1st class with distinction. He then completed his M.F.A. (PTG) from the University of Pune - College of Fine Art, Pune (2010). He passed 1st class with distinction. He was also the elected second-term member of the Bombay Art Society, Mumbai (2015-20). He received the Nag Foundation Scholarship and visited Germany& France in 2006.
A talented artist like Kadam will receive awards by dozens. He was nine awards in the Annual Exhibition & Painting Competition in Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune - 1993, 94 & 95, the 2nd AwardOn the Spot Portrait Competition, Nasik Kalaniketan, Nasik - 1994, awards at Mood Indigo, Mumbai in 1994 & 95, the Br. V.V. Oak Prize in Pune - 1997, 98, 99 & 2000, Maharashtra State Art Exhibition Award - 1998, etc. He has also been honoured with Children Friends Circle of India, Pune (1995 & 1996), 'Abhyudaya Sanman' Kalavart Nyas Ujjani, (MP) in 2003 and 'Chitrakar Pant Jambhalikar Smruti Puraskar', Kalapushapa, Sangli in 2012.
