The old Pentastar 3.6-litre V6 petrol engine has been replaced by a new 2.0-litre four cylinder turbopetrol, which sounds like a backward step until you compare torque outputs. The naturallyaspirated V6 produced 347Nm at 4100rpm, so to use the technical term, it lacked grunt. The turbo four produces a lot more torque -400Nm at lower revs of 3000rpm. Peak power drops from 209kW at 6400rpm in the V6 to 200kW at 5250rpm in the four.

PORSCHE MACAN
Porsche is charging at full speed towards electrification.
