Backing The Skill India Movement

National Olympiad, Industrial training, R&D Centres, and several initiatives are on the cards for next-generation skill development. Prajakta Chavan Rane reports on the various ASDC initiatives and platforms designed in collaboration with the stakeholders.

The Much-awaited Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC) National Automobile Olympiad (NAO) concluded in December with three students declared as winners in three different categories. The NAO aimed to cultivate the Next-Generation Leaders for India’s Automotive Industry received participation from school students across India and was held in collaboration with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) –, and the National Program on Career Awareness (NPOCA). This competition aimed to ignite the interest of school students in the automotive industry, providing them with fundamental to advanced knowledge. The platform to learn, nurture, and delve into the advanced skill set practised in the automobile industry is offered by ASDC through various initiatives. “The future belongs to those who learn more skills and combine them in creative ways,” opined Robert Greene, an American Author.
