ONE STOP TYRE ZONES

Just like bikes need dedicated attention, cars and trucks need a one-stop shop to meet end-to-end purchase and aftersales requirements. To add a layer of focused services, dedicated pits tops offering professional and modern upkeep for critical ancillary segments like tyres are mushrooming in a welcome move. Going beyond fixing punctures, tyre zones especially for commercial vehicles are becoming popular with fleet operators as they tick most boxes and are backed by tyre OEM credibility. In a day spent at Apollo Tyres’ CV Zone, Ashuraj Agencies in Pawane, Navi Mumbai, much clarity was gained on the impressive value proposition on offer. In the tyre business for over three and a half decades, Raj Sarvaiya of Ashuraj Agencies (Apollo Tyres CV Zone) spoke of tyre OEMs filling a critical white space with such dedicated establishments. For the upkeep of Truck and Bus Radials (TBRs) to match up to the evolution of the aftermarket business, in keeping with evolving customer needs and modernday TBR requirements. “Business has changed by leaps and bounds over the past decade with two-axle vehicles giving way to five-axle vehicles. Tyres themselves have graduated from nylon to TBRs given the growing ask for radials,” he averred.
