Executive Director and CEO, Ather Energy
W ITH A BACHELOR’S AND A master’s degree in engineering design from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, under the dual degree programme, Tarun Sanjay Mehta is the executive director and the chief executive officer of Ather Energy. Along with Swapnil Babanlal Jain, he is one of the co-founders of the company in addition to being one of the promoters. Tarun leads operations on the product, business, and growth front. He is a believer in the ecosystem approach to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles (EV).
Tarun was also listed in the “Forbes 30 under 30” in 2018 and “Fortune 40 under 40” list in 2017, 2019, and 2021 for Ather’s noteworthy product in the Indian twowheeler industry. With over 10 years of experience in the EV sector, Tarun Mehta received the “AIMA: Young Entrepreneur Award” in 2023. Along with many other CEOs from India, Tarun attended the CEO Forum (Quai d’Orsay) in Paris with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2023.

RAJIV BAJAJ HAS BEEN AT BAJAJ Auto since 1990 and then took over as its managing director in 2005. Over the years, Bajaj Auto have steadily evolved into a global two-wheeler titan. They launched the biggest capacity Pulsar, NS400Z, and the Freedom 125 CNG, the world’s first motorcycle to run on compressed natural gas (CNG). The electric Chetak scooter also came out with new variants.
In the world of KTM, this past year has seen the 390 Duke get a serious update, while the 250 Duke and 200 Duke have received subtle updates in India. As for the Triumph 400 twins, the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400 X are selling like hot cakes. They have also introduced the Scrambler 1200 X as well as the 2024 Tiger 900 GT, Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro, Rocket 3 Storm R, and Rocket 3 Storm GT in India.
