It’s no longer just a playground for old bikes, as modern machines are welcomed to their own event
If you like touring and exploring some of the best biking roads in Europe you will perhaps have heard, or already been to, the Picos de Europa in Spain.
Just on the doorstep of Santander, after a relaxing cruise down on a Brittany ferry you are there ready to enjoy the roads and Spanish hospitality.
For some years the Moto Club Indianos, based in Colombres just 50 miles down the coast, has been running the week-long annual Colombres Rally for pre-1988 machines at the beginning of October, with the recently formed North of Spain rally happening the week before and expanding the scope of the roads and places to visit.

Being cold on a motorcycle isn't just unpleasant, it's potentially dangerous! The human body is designed to maintain a stable internal temperature of around 37°c. When it drops by just a couple of degrees, hypothermia starts to kick in, causing symptoms including shivering, mild confusion, lack of coordination/fumbling hands and drowsiness. None of which help you control a bike. And that's only mild hypothermia!
