Indian philosopher and author
Prashant Tripathi, also known as Acharya Prashant, is a prominent figure in Indian philosophy, renowned for his deep insights into the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and the Upanishads. He has developed interpretations of seventeen forms of the Gita and sixty forms of the Upanishads, making these profound texts accessible to a wide audience. As the founder of the PrashantAdvait Foundation, he has established a platform dedicated to promoting Advaita Vedanta philosophy and facilitating spiritual growth among seekers. Educationally, Prashant Tripathi holds a bachelor's degree in textile engineering from IIT Delhi and completed his postgraduation in management from IIM Ahmedabad in 2003. Despite a brief tenure in the Indian Civil Service, his passion for Vedanta philosophy led him to transition into teaching and writing on spiritual matters.
Recognised for his commitment to ethical living and animal welfare, Prashant Tripathi was honoured by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India in February 2023 as the "Most Influential Vegan" of 2022. This accolade acknowledges his advocacy for veganism as a means to promote compassion and nonviolence towards all sentient beings, reflecting his broader philosophy of respect and empathy in human conduct. His influence extends beyond philosophy into practical advocacy, emphasising the interconnectedness of spiritual awareness and ethical action in daily life.
