'Pete and I have good chemistry-we have fun'

Strictly's Jowita Przystal on her love for dance partner Pete Wicks and why she wants his best pal on the next series

It’s been filling our autumn weekends with plenty of glitz and glamour since kicking off in September, and one duo really getting stuck into Strictly Come Dancing are Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystal.

While former TOWIE bad boy Pete isn’t who you’d expect to be slipping into sequins, the 36-year-old reality star has been whipped into shape by professional dancer Jowita, 30.

And she can’t help but gush over him as we catch up with her for an exclusive chat on the Pride of Britain Awards red carpet.

“Pete and I have been training earlier today, it’s amazing,” says Jowita. “He is taking the show very seriously and he really wants to learn. Although we have times when we just can’t stop laughing, and we had one of those today.”

Working the red carpet, the dancer looked stunning in a black embellished peplum gown with a drop-down satin skirt by designer label Chow Chow.

And revealing that Pete actually inspired her outfit choice, Jowita laughed, “Pete has a nickname for me, he always calls me his ‘petal’, and tonight I actually look like a petal in this dress. So, he inspired it!”
