THE PITFALLS OF PERFECTIONISM

No one’s perfect. But as we scroll through Instagram, tune into glossy TV shows and even socialise with friends, it can feel like everyone’s lives are better than our own.

Having ambitions to improve ourselves and our situations can offer fulfilment. However, a recent study by the Office Of National Statistics found only one in four people have very high levels of life satisfaction. It suggests many of us have unrealistic expectations and this could be holding us back.

“The desire to be perfect can become problematic, often leaving you feeling unhappy, miserable and on a neverending treadmill of sadness,” says transformational life coach and author Kamran Bedi.
