Fireworks of an unexpected variety mar the 4th of July bash at the Metro Court when gunfire breaks out — and a prominent Port Charles resident takes a bullet.

Given recent events, Anna and Sonny are the most obvious targets for violence. Notes Executive Producer Frank Valentini, “Sonny got into business with a new partner, this government contractor, Pikeman, and started to move a shipment for them and there was an attack on his life in the warehouse. So, he knows that somebody’s after him, and he’s been watching his back, but he doesn’t know who it is, because Sonny’s long career in crime has resulted in a number of enemies — and a number of people who want to take over his territory. So Sonny’s got a lot of reasons to be nervous about being assassinated.”
