A work day for me, more often than not looks like a vacation,” says Mumbai-based mind coach Naina Mansukhani. “One day I'm coaching in front of the pyramids in Egypt, the other overlooking the hot air balloons in Cappadocia, and then in the middle of a safari in Africa. Being able to coach people virtually has been exciting, impactful and gives me the freedom I always desired,” she adds. Naina has spent over seven years coaching and training young individuals to find their footing in the professional world and become more confident versions of themselves. A former lawyer, Naina began her career with Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, a leading law firm, where she worked on high stakes mergers and acquisitions. “As you can imagine, it was highly intense and I struggled with my work-life balance. I chose law because I wanted to help people, but I felt like I wasn't doing that. I also could not imagine being confined to a desk drafting contracts, so even though I absolutely love law, I just could not see myself doing this for the next 50 years,” the coach shares. Despite the initial satisfaction, the high-pressure environment and work-life imbalance nudged Naina to seek a more fulfilling path.
