Tensions run high between Billy and Bernie as Paul is laid to rest

Losing a loved one is, they say, one of the most stressful things you can go through, and poor Billy is certainly feeling the strain in the wake of Paul's passing.

This week, Paul's funeral takes place on what would've been their first wedding anniversary, and the occasion is all the more difficult given that Billy and mother-in-law Bernie aren't seeing eye to eye.

The crux of the issue is that Billy and Bernie have widely different views on how Paul should be honoured.

'Billy's got his theological beliefs, and Bernie's there with her crystals and her sage sticks, says Daniel Brocklebank, who plays the grieving vicar.
