IIJS Premiere draws 50,000 visitors
July - August 2022
|Diamond World
The show witnessed more than 50,000 visitors across all five days, of which 1500 were international visitors from over 60 countries.
-
This year’s edition of IIJS Premiere, the biggest jewellery event of Asia, took off on a grand note, with Hema Malini, Member of Parliament, inaugurating the mega event, along with Colin Shah, Chairman, GJEPC; Vipul Shah, Vice Chairman, GJEPC; Shailesh Sangani, Convener, National Exhibitions, GJEPC; and Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director, GJEPC, amongst others. The highly successful event was held between August 4 and 8.
The show had around 50,000 visitors, including 1,500 international visitors from more than 60 countries, such as USA, Canada, UK, Hong Kong, Middle East, Europe, Bangladesh, Nepal, Russia, Thailand, and Egypt.
There was even more excitement than usual about the show this year as it was returning to Mumbai after two and a half years. This time around, in an attempt to be more sustainable and eco-friendly, a more uniform approach had been adopted -- all the stalls looked the same and exhibitors were not given the option to customise their booths, as has been the case in the previous years. (This did not go down well with quite a few exhibitors).
