ELLE: What inspired you to start Juicy Chemistry?
Megha Asher (MA): After struggling with PCOD-driven skin concerns for over a decade and trying different treatments, I only wanted a simple routine to help me maintain my skin's health. So, I decided to take the organic route. However, when I couldn't find truly organic products, Pritesh Asher and I decided to create what we sought, and that's how Juicy Chemistry was born.
ELLE: The make-up industry is known for its fierce competition. What inspired your entry into the world of colour cosmetics?
MA: Colour cosmetics were never on our agenda. Our customers planted this seed in our minds over the years by inquiring about organic alternatives to everyday makeup essentials. During the lockdown in 2020, we decided to dive deep into the world of make-up. Our research helped us identify the gap, an actual problem, and we just knew what we had to do next-curate a range of high-performance, richly pigmented, and skin-loving makeup formulations, all of that naturally.
ELLE: As an entrepreneur, how do you maintain a healthy work-life balance?
MA: When you're running a fast-growing startup, worklife balance doesn't quite exist. Realising the importance of mental health, I often take short breaks and spend some time in the day on my hobbies. I always try to spend quality time with my daughter, Meera, daily.
