Our lives are more frenetic than ever before. Self-care and wellness have never been more portal and spa treatments offer a welcome oasis amid the chaos
i In a busy world, setting clear boundaries between work and personal life is crucial. Bydedicating time to relaxation, rejuvenation and meaningful connections, we nurture our minds, bodies and souls. Sabashni Naidoo, owner of Amani Spa & Wellness at the Radisson Collection Hotel, Waterfront, Cape Town, shares insights on the transformative benefits of integrating spa experiences into a regular self-care routine.
GLAMOUR: Why do you believe spa experiences are essential for self-care in today’s fast-paced world?
Sabashni Naidoo: In today’s hectic and demanding environment, people often face mental health challenges, increased stress, and even burnout. Spa experiences are a powerful antidote, offering a respite from daily pressures that helps alleviate stress and foster a profound sense of well-being. This contributes to overall health and wellness, restoring balance and promoting rejuvenation.
G: Can you share your journey, and what inspired you to open Amani Spa & Wellness in Cape Town?
SN: I’ve always been passionate about a holistic approach to health and wellness, making it a core part of my life. I’ve studied Ayurvedic medicine, reflexology, aromatherapy and holistic massage in my spare time. My journey into the spa industry started when my husband and I had the opportunity to stay at the Radisson Collection Hotel, which eventually led us to join the esteemed Amani Spa and Wellness franchise group.
G: What role does mindfulness play in spa treatments?

FEEL
Animal print has prowled its way back into beauty and this time it's more wearable than ever. While the concept has always been a fashion favourite, its recent resurgence feels rooted in the maximalist nostalgia of the early 2000s when bold patterns and statement beauty looks ruled the years.
