A particular colour can often dominate both the runways and the crowds at any fashion week. But this season, instead of coalescing around a certain shade, designers and attendees seemed to embrace tons of them.

Designers evoked autumn time by filling their SS collections with vibrant & dark hues. While the runways featured many palettes with plenty of body types. Throughout the week, designers presented models wearing whatnot! Thus, we have fetched you the lowdown on how the designers set the fashion world on fire in the Arab city.

ABOUT THE WEEK-LONG AFFAIR:

Dubai Fashion Week (DFW)–co-founded by Dubai Design District (d3) and Arab Fashion Council–took place at d3 for seven days from 9th to 15th October 2023. The runway then got underway with a sustainability-focused showcase by 25 designers from 12 countries unveiling their spring/summer 2024 collections. The season’s Guest of Honour, Carolina Herrera, is taking the spotlight and unveiling the SS24 presentation with exclusive designs crafted to commemorate this significant occasion.

Carolina Herrera’s Creative Director, Wes Gordon, presented the renowned luxury house’s much-anticipated collection. An intimate dinner was also hosted to honour Wes Gordon at Eugene Eugene. Having Carolina Herrera at the event–a joint project between the Dubai Design District and the Arab Fashion Council–is a triumph for the UAE.
