Shweta Mahendra, an IITian from Roorkee, recently launched her book “Many Visions, Many Worlds” in an evening hosted by Ratan Kaul and Paridhi Sharma.

The book is an exploration of the deep interconnection of various dimensions of space and time and touches upon ancient history, mythology, legends, current developments and futuristic technologies. “The book also provides insights into how the Metaverse is going to change the life of the common man, the corporate world, the economy, and talent. “Shweta shares. Excerpts from an interaction

An IITian and then into a book writing with a philosophical theme...what would you say about the journey?

Science and Philosophy are inseparable subjects, any concept of science is based on some philosophy and we engineers and scientists work in a direction to make that concept reality. It is not only science, you focus on the degree doctor of philosophy (PhD) in any subject, which proves that any subject is incomplete without philosophy. Philosophy means in Greek is ‘lover of wisdom’.

All the great philosophers were scientists, Pythagoras was philosopher and scientist, Plato was expert of mathematics and metaphysics, Aristotle got a title ‘father of biology’ and Descartes is famous for theory of knowledge and coordinated plane.

With a fast growing technological innovations and advancements we are forgetting the basic conceptual thing which makes this universe. I found that the technological knowledge is incomplete without knowing the true knowledge or wisdom or exploring the ‘Absolute Truth’ as told in Bhagavad Gita by lord Shri Krishna.
