1 BUILD THE MOOD

2, 3 PATTERNS RULE

The golden rule with multiple patterns is to mix large with medium, medium with small or all three together. Avoid mixing large and small. Likewise, try not to use different florals together - go for a mix of structured and organic designs that play nicely with each other instead. Pick prints that share a common background or hue, as here, where white is in all three designs. Black grounds and brings balance while the greens relate to the sofa. Pattern or risk averse? Add it in small doses - think cushions and window coverings or, say, a rug.
