WITHIN MINIMALISTIC BOTTLES and zen aesthetics, Aesop houses legacies of research. A brand well established in their philosophy in uncomplicated skin care designed to complement an elevated lifestyle, Aesop prides itself in using modern science to conceptualise and develop their formulas of ethical skin products. Standing in front of the team is the Head of Research & Development and Compliance, Samy Hamada.
Mainly overseeing the early stages of product developments in Aesop, Samy ensures that every formulation crafted by the house lives up to its DNA: sciencebased and innovative approach to modern skin care. From sourcing ethical and sustainable ingredients to developing novel technologies, Samy spearheads the team that builds the empire Aesop sits on today.
A conversation with Samy unveils deeper into the science of Aesop and their newest venture, the Immaculate Face Tonic, which launched just last month.
Tell us more about the Skin Care+ range. How did it begin?
Our Skin Care+ range is distinguished by complex formulations that incorporate a wide palette of scientifically validated ingredients. Each product delivers particularly generous measures of vitamins and efficacious ingredients to replenish, balance, and bolster the skin. These formulations are especially beneficial for those whose skin may be dull, patchy, and in need of skin-supporting vitamins, as well as those with mature skin seeking suppleness and resilience. They can be used daily for standalone hydration, blended, or layered with a preferred moisturiser, or twiceweekly as a nourishing boost.
The newest addition to the Skin Care+ range is the Immaculate Facial Tonic. How was it conceptualised?
Immaculate Facial Tonic is a gentle daily-use exfoliating tonic, enriched with vitamins and hydrating ingredients to replenish hydration. It is formulated to even the appearance and refine the texture of the skin.
