A Musical Community

The new Pops Chorus and Orchestra at Marlborough College Malaysia (MCM) has students, parents, staff and even the Master involved. SIMON BURBURY tells us more - including where you can catch their performances.

Tell us about the school's new musical venture.

The Pops Orchestra brings together a diverse blend of professionals, amateurs, students, parents and teachers for community-driven music-making in Johor. It's an inclusive, harmonious effort to strengthen the bonds within the MCM community and is unlike anything else in the region.

The orchestra offers our finest student musicians the chance to perform at a semi-professional level. It offers these talented young performers invaluable experience as they transition to the next stage of their artistic journey.

Complementing this ensemble is the Pops Chorus, another community-focused initiative that invites parents, teachers and friends of MCM to join in the joy of singing.
