SIX OF THE BEST FOR SPIREITES!

CHESTERFIELD recorded six wins on the bounce for the first time since the 2009-10 season after this rather nervy victory over Wealdstone at the SMH Group Stadium.
Kyle Smith gave the Stones a first half lead before three goals in 15 minutes from James Berry, Liam Mandeville and Michael Jacobs paved the way for Paul Cook’s side to get the victory, deeming Sean Adarkwa’s late goal back for Wealdstone as consolation.
“Did we get the three points? Yes, and that is the main objective for any team,” said a relieved assistant manager Danny Webb.
“With that can you make it as comfortable as you can? I thought we did for large periods of the second half. We sadly took our foot off the gas towards the end for their second goal.”
Jeff King, who returned after three games out of the side, fired an early warning with his 25-yard free-kick which brought out the best in keeper Joe Ward.
