England coach not a fan of 'fundamental changes'

STEVE accused BORTHWICK has World Rugby of blundering by rushing through law changes that have changed the face of the sport.

International coaches were given three weeks' notice of tweaks that would be used in the autumn series.

The England head coach's main gripe is over the new law that penalises players shielding a team-mate who is catching a high ball.

As England prepare to face South Africa tomorrow, Borthwick said: "I don't think anyone wants it to turn into Aussie rules, do they? I thought our game was in pretty good shape. There has been a fundamental change here.

"In hindsight it could have been dealt with differently.
