Wife 'killer' told friend 'she's dead' over phone

THE man suspected of fatally shooting his wife outside a pub called a friend afterwards and revealed his crime, it has been claimed.

Edvard Stockings, also known by the surname Smith, rang friend Leslie Thompson less than two hours after Lisa Smith was shot outside the Three Horseshoes in Knockholt, Kent.

He told him: "She's dead, I love you. I'll see you on the other side."

Mr Thompson told the BBC the call convinced him Stockings shot his wife after a breakdown.
