DEREK MCINNES admits he's thrilled at Kilmarnock's slick transfer work.

And the Rugby Park boss has hailed recruitment chief Russ Richardson and his staff as a "Godsend" with moves already underway for the summer window.

McInnes still has six days to make more January deals but sharp work this month has seen Greg Stewart and James Balagizi smoothly captured.

Richardson has been key to the adept market moves and the Killie gaffer says work has started for the next batch of wheeling and dealing.

McInnes said: "It's such a comfort for me, really. Any manager has a million things to do on any given day.

"Sometimes recruiting players can be so draining and time-consuming. There are hundreds that don't come to anything. You waste a lot of  time and energy and you've got to try to delegate your time the best you can.
