KILLER lain Packer was hauled into Govan police station on February 24, 2022, before being questioned by detectives over a string of charges, including the killing of Emma.
He was arrested as he prepared to attend a Rangers European match and was quizzed while still wearing his team's strip.
In the interview, Packer is asked: "Tell me your involvement in relation to the rape and murder of Emma Caldwell?" He callously replies: "No comment."
The remorseless killer, who can be seen with his arms folded, is then asked a series of questions about when and where he met Emma and probed on persuading enter his vehicle before driving her to Limefield Woods in Biggar, Lanarkshire.
The interviewing officer then states that Packer raped and murdered Emma, before disposing of her naked body, clothes and phone, as he continues to respond with "no comment" throughout the interview.
Police helped bring Packer to justice over Emma's murder due to soil found in his van. The killer drove a dark blue Iveco and officers found dirt inside the vehicle which matched soil from the scene.
During his trial, the court heard soil taken in 2021 from the site where 27-year-old Emma's body was found was a near perfect match with the earth they had found in his van.
It was said to be a "97 per cent match" and Packer was subsequently charged.
Police Scotland released pictures of the van yesterday, as the 51-year-old begins a life sentence over the murder.
The images show the front, back and cab of the van, which is emblazoned with logos saying Alpha Beta Signs Ltd and Alpha Beta Sign Services. It also featured a lion rampant waving a saltire.
