ITRIED SUICIDE TO END BOTCHED OP PAIN

A PATIENT of brain butcher Sam Eljamel was left in so much pain from a botched operation that she attempted to kill herself.

Helen Nelson, 56, was given surgery on her neck to insert a titanium disc in June 2011 because Eljamel told her it would stop a pain in her elbow.

But six months after his botched op left her in agony, another consultant found the true cause of her elbow pain was simply a trapped nerve in her arm.

By then Eljamel's surgery had caused her severe and permanent damage.

After suffering constant pain for six years she felt she couldn't take it any more and attempted suicide.

She was only saved when husband Alan, 56, found her with the empty pill bottles and packets around her.
