A MAN has appeared in court charged over the alleged "kidnap and torture" of a man who died from his injuries.
Alan Lawson, 36, died in hospital on February 6, two days after he was discovered seriously injured at his home in Saltcoats, Ayrshire.
His death is being treated as murder.
Officers confirmed they had detained a 29-year-old man on Tuesday, after a two-week hunt to trace Alan's killer.
Jordan Honeyman appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court yesterday, charged with murder and attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
