Triple boost for Scots as stars declared fit for the Six Nations

SCOTLAND have been handed a triple back-row injury boost ahead of the Six Nations.

Glasgow trio Rory Darge, Matt Fagerson, and Jack Dempsey had been expected to miss some, if not all, of the tournament.

Darge limped off with a knee injury in last month's defeat to Edinburgh amid fears he was set to be out for the rest of the season.

But Warriors attack coach Nigel Carolan revealed the diagnosis is not as bad as first thought, with Darge having only strained the ligament rather than torn it.

And there was also positive news on Fagerson and Dempsey, who have both been absent with fractured bones in their skull.
