RUUD VAN NISTELROOY has warned incoming new boss Ruben Amorim Manchester United are a 24/7 global monster that'll leave him reeling in shock.

Amorim jets into Manchester tomorrow ready to assume control at Old Trafford after Erik ten Hag was sacked for failing to make United a competitive force this season.

The 39-year-old coach says farewell to Sporting Lisbon after their game at Braga today to take up a role that's become one of the most demanding in football the mission to make United great again.

But interim boss Van Nistelrooy, who hands over the reins to Amorim after his fourth and final game in charge against Leicester today, says the Portuguese coach should brace himself for an eye-opening experience.

And his chances of success will depend on his ability to shut out the external noise and create a bubble for himself and the players.

The Dutchman said: "For me, when we landed in Bangkok on a pre-season tour in 2001 and I saw 100,000 people at the airport, that's when I thought 'Ooh!'

"That's what I thought then you realise what United is on a worldwide scale, and in Real Madrid it's similar, wherever you go, the attention.
