The 10-bend contest has been a traditional staple of the Boxing Day cards at the Kent track and before then at Catford and a bumper crowd is expected at Crayford this afternoon for a festive ten-race programme-spiced by the £1,000 Boxing Day Marathon, in which the youngest runner in the line-up is fancied to land the spoils.

Trained by Central Park's Dan Brabon, Turbine Tilly is proving a really consistent - and winning --sort and came into the Boxing Day Marathon off the back of a 714m competition win at Crayford in a maiden stayers event.

Stepped up in distance again for the heats of this 874m event, she ran a good second behind Capel Rose (Tony Gifkins) in the heats.
